Thanks for your calls and concern. Patrick is out of isolation; however, we are still waiting results of lab tests hopefully Thursday. He is not ready for any visitors and will be in hospital for another week or so and then recuperating at home.
He is presently being treated for meningitis and is much better than he was on Monday when the ambulance took him to hospital. He does not recall Monday at all. His headache is gone, nauseousness gone, fever down as of tonite, light sensitivity gone, he is off all the vital sign monitor and is on i.v., steroids and three different antibiotics until they know exactly from the lab results which treatment to continue to administer. He is drinking fluids, however, eating very little. He is thinking clearly and able to speak normally. The neurologist told him he will have to ease back to work, and prioritize and take care of himself.
Thank God, if I said that he would dismiss it of course. Thanks again for all your concern, please continue to keep Patrick in your prayers and I will keep you posted. I am using e-mail since I am losing my voice with all the telephone calls. Thanks again.
